A protocol, never improvisation
Every vehicle goes through the same steps in the same order: decontamination, correction, protection, final inspection. Nothing depends on the mood of the day.

Laurent Decottegnie, founder
For nearly five years I have been bringing local vehicles back to life, in Pont-Rouge, twenty minutes from Quebec City.
I am a fullstack developer. My job is to take complicated systems and make them simple, reliable, repeatable. It is an occupational habit I never managed to shake.
Detailing started out of curiosity, on my own car. A first polish, a first inspection light held against a fender, and that very distinct feeling of watching paint come back to life. Five years later, curiosity has turned into a method.
What the trade taught me is not only good for writing code. It comes down to three habits.
Every vehicle goes through the same steps in the same order: decontamination, correction, protection, final inspection. Nothing depends on the mood of the day.
The calendar will not let two be booked on the same day. That is not a limitation I put up with, it is what makes everything else possible.
Before and after photos, notes on the state of the paint, products used. You know what was done to your vehicle. So do I, next time around.
By day I build web applications. Recarma runs on tools I wrote myself: the booking flow, the vehicle records, the before and after galleries you browse on this site.
If it is the development side that brought you here rather than the polish, my work lives elsewhere.
